NDR Kultur hosts PopUp! concert series in North Germany

NDR Kultur is organizing a series of PopUp! concerts across North Germany, featuring artists performing in unconventional venues. The locations for these events are determined by public voting via the NDR Kultur app and website.

One candidate for a concert on September 24, 2026, is the physics lecture hall at the University of Rostock, known locally as the ‘Sarg’. If selected, singer Annett Louisan would perform there. Voting for this location begins on September 14, with a winner announced on September 17.

Another potential venue is the Ahrensburg Art Studio, which is in contention to host the Vision String Quartet on October 1, 2026. The voting process for the Ahrensburg location is scheduled to begin on September 21, with the final result expected on September 24.
