Nea Salamina files official complaint over refereeing and VAR decisions

The Board of Directors of Nea Salamina Famagusta has announced a series of formal actions following an emergency meeting regarding refereeing decisions. The club is filing an official complaint against the referee and the VAR operator from their recent match against Apollon.

In addition to the specific match complaint, the club is compiling documentation of controversial incidents from the first six matchdays of the championship. Nea Salamina intends to appeal to European and international governing bodies, alleging that inconsistent rule application and refereeing decisions have altered match results.

The club expressed dissatisfaction with the Cyprus Football Association (KOP), stating it has failed to ensure the consistent and equitable application of regulations. To address the situation, Nea Salamina will organize an emergency open meeting for its supporters to discuss the ongoing issues.
