Neamț County officials discuss Bistrița Valley development

Local authorities and the Neamț County Council are exploring integrated development strategies for the Bistrița Valley. During a symposium held in Farcașa, officials discussed collaborative investments, funding opportunities, and common development directions for mountain communities.

A key focus is an integrated project for the Izvorul Muntelui Lake area, being prepared by the Neamț County Council in partnership with the administrations of Bicaz, Ceahlău, Hangu, and Poiana Teiului. The proposed investment includes water transport, modernization of access infrastructure, utility expansion, and developments for tourism and leisure.

Discussions also addressed the potential for local administrations to form associations and prepare joint strategies, particularly in view of European funding opportunities for the 2028–2034 period.
