Near East University signs protocols for physiotherapy training

Near East University has entered into several cooperation protocols to advance physiotherapy and rehabilitation education and research.

A major agreement was signed between the university’s Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Cyprus Turkish Physiotherapists Association, and the Cyprus Turkish Veterinarians Union. This protocol aims to establish an international standard training program for animal physiotherapy, making the field applicable in clinical settings and developing the necessary legal and professional frameworks. The program will be open to both physiotherapists and veterinarians, featuring a joint faculty of academics and experts.

Additionally, a separate protocol was established between the Near East University Faculty of Health Sciences and the Cyprus Turkish Physiotherapists Association. This partnership focuses on sustainable cooperation in education, scientific research, and project development within the fields of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. The collaboration will include professional training, mentorship for students, and social responsibility projects related to healthy aging, disability, and community-based rehabilitation.
