NEAR Protocol sees rising ETF inflows and expansion into stock market concepts
Bitwise’s spot NEAR Protocol ETF has recorded four consecutive weeks of net inflows, with the most recent session adding between $5.22 million and $5.42 million. The fund now holds more than 1% of the circulating NEAR supply. Bitwise intends to stake nearly all of its holdings in-house, targeting an average staking reward of approximately 5% after its 0.75% annual management fee.
Co-founder Illia Polosukhin has highlighted the potential for NEAR Intents, the network’s cross-chain transaction system, to extend beyond cryptocurrency. He described a hypothetical use case where Intents could integrate with traditional venues like Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange by allowing counterparties to tokenize and deliver shares to user wallets.
According to NEAR Protocol’s Q3 2026 report, NEAR Intents recorded over $32 billion in cumulative volume, representing a 45% increase from the previous quarter. Additionally, the protocol recently deployed its first post-quantum cryptographic curve, Dilithium (ML-DSA), to its mainnet.
