Nebraska athletics are preparing for upcoming seasons in both volleyball and football.

In volleyball, the Huskers enter the 2026 season ranked No. 1 in the AVCA under head coach Dani Busboom Kelly. Senior setter Bergen Reilly is highlighted as a key returning player. Reilly, a three-time AVCA All-American, previously earned Big Ten Player of the Year and Setter of the Year honors. She contributed to a school-record .351 hitting percentage during her junior season.

In football, the Cornhuskers are two weeks into fall camp ahead of their September 5 opener against the Ohio Bobcats. Anthony Colandrea, a senior transfer from UNLV and Virginia, is the projected starting quarterback. Sophomore Isaiah Mozee is currently the frontrunner for the starting running back position, according to running backs coach EJ Barthel.
