Nebraska football defeats Bowling Green 56-7

Nebraska football secured a dominant 56-7 victory over Bowling Green at Memorial Stadium, improving their season record to 2-0. The Huskers' offense amassed 546 total yards, including 282 passing yards and 264 rushing yards.

Quarterback Anthony Colandrea led the offensive effort, completing 20 of 24 passes for 224 yards and four touchdowns. His performance earned him Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors. Receivers Jacory Barney Jr. and Kwazi Gilmer each recorded two touchdown catches during the game.

The Nebraska defense, known as the ‘Blackshirts’, significantly improved from the previous week, holding Bowling Green to just 169 total yards. Head coach Matt Rhule noted the team’s improved ability to key and diagnose plays, highlighting linebacker Dexter Foster for his strong performance.
