Nebraska football defeats North Dakota 34-7 to finish nonconference play undefeated

Nebraska football concluded its nonconference schedule undefeated with a 34-7 victory over the No. 6 ranked FCS North Dakota Fighting Hawks at Memorial Stadium. Freshman running back Jamal Rule led the offense with 119 rushing yards and two touchdowns, including an explosive 55-yard scoring run in the second half.

Quarterback Anthony Colandrea contributed significantly to the win, recording 195 passing yards and two touchdowns, one of which was a 5-yard pass to Quinn Clark. The Huskers' defense held North Dakota to just 205 total yards and recorded five sacks against quarterback Jerry Kaminski.

Following this win, Nebraska moves into Big Ten conference play with a matchup against Michigan State. Head coach Matt Rhule noted that the team's preparation and discipline have improved as they prepare for the physical style of play expected in the conference.
