Nebraska hosts No. 20 Creighton in top-25 volleyball matchup

Ranked No. 1 Nebraska is set to host No. 20 Creighton in a highly anticipated volleyball match at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. The matchup features two programs that both reached the Elite Eight last season. The game is scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Nebraska enters the contest with a 7-0 record, while Creighton holds a 5-4 record. Historically, Nebraska has won all 24 previous meetings between the two programs. Recent encounters have been competitive, with three of the last four matches going to a fifth set. The rivalry is noted for high attendance, having previously set an indoor NCAA regular season record.

Creighton’s season has included notable wins against ranked opponents such as No. 9 Purdue and No. 20 USC. The Bluejays are led by middle blocker Ayden Ames, a transfer from Texas who recently earned Big East Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors.
