Nebraska swimming and diving to host Iowa State in season opener

The Nebraska swimming and diving teams will host the Iowa State Cyclones for their season opener on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Devaney Natatorium in Lincoln, Nebraska. This matchup marks the 52nd meeting between the two programs since they first competed in 1972.

Nebraska enters the meet following a season-opening intrasquad event where the Scarlet squad defeated the Cream squad. Iowa State arrives following their own Cardinal & Gold intrasquad meet, which saw the Cardinal team defeat the Gold team with a score of 139-128. The upcoming dual meet will feature various events including the 200 medley relay, freestyle distances, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and both one-meter and three-meter diving.
