Nebraska volleyball hosts annual Red-White Scrimmage

The No. 1 ranked Nebraska volleyball team held its annual Red-White Scrimmage at Pinnacle Bank Arena before a crowd of over 10,000 fans. The Red team defeated the White team 3-1 in a match characterized by strong defensive play.

Coach Dani Busboom Kelly noted that lineups were mixed throughout the preseason to integrate veterans and newcomers. The scrimmage saw a low combined hitting percentage of .074, as defensive blocking played a dominant role. The teams combined for 29 total blocks.

Individual standout performances included Manaia Ogbechie, who recorded a match-high 13 block assists, and Bergen Reilly, who contributed 37 assists and 13 digs. Other notable contributors included Teraya Sigler and Virginia Adriano, who each recorded 11 kills.
