NEC Nexsolutions launches EXPLANNER/Ax SaaS cloud business system

NEC Nexsolutions has launched ‘EXPLANNER/Ax SaaS’, a core business system designed for listed and mid-sized companies. The service aims to facilitate cloud migration by addressing common barriers such as the difficulty of implementing custom add-ons in cloud environments and security concerns.

The service offers two distinct models: a ‘Public’ multi-tenant type for low-cost, rapid deployment starting at 98,000 yen per user per month, and a ‘Private’ single-tenant type that allows for unrestricted add-on development and integration with peripheral systems. To reduce the workload on corporate IT departments, the provider handles server maintenance, database upkeep, version updates, and compliance with legal changes.

Developed in collaboration with Oracle Japan, the system utilizes Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as its foundation. The architecture is designed for high availability and multi-layered security, while also incorporating Oracle Database features to support future AI integration, including generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Accounting and payroll services are scheduled to be available starting January 2027.
