NEC Nijmegen denies Ajax transfer offer for Darko Nejašmić

NEC Nijmegen director Wilco van Schaik has denied reports of a significant transfer offer from Ajax for midfielder Darko Nejašmić. Despite rumors circulating in Dutch media suggesting a bid of 6.5 million euros plus 3 million in bonuses, Van Schaik stated that no such offer was received.

Nejašmić has become a key player for NEC, recently earning high praise for his performances in the UEFA Champions League, including a standout match against Olympiacos. Although transfer rumors persist, NEC aims to retain the player, whose contract runs until June 2027. Coach Dick Schreuder confirmed that the club is currently in negotiations with Nejašmić regarding a contract extension.
