Necaxa player Juan David Valencia reports racism following match

Colombian forward Juan David Valencia has reported receiving racist messages on social media following a match between Santos Laguna and Necaxa. The incident follows a tense moment during the game where Valencia, who missed several scoring opportunities, was visibly emotional on the bench after being substituted.

Necaxa coach Juan Reynoso addressed the situation, stating that his intense communication with the player was intended to motivate him rather than reprimand him. Reynoso described Valencia as a spectacular player and noted that the player had already apologized to the fans for his performance. Valencia expressed pride in his skin color in response to the online comments while acknowledging his errors on the pitch.
