Necmettin Erbakan University receives healthy workplace certification

Necmettin Erbakan University (NEÜ) has become the first public institution in Konya to receive the “Nutrition-Friendly and Physical Activity Supporting Workplace” certificate. The recognition follows initiatives led by the university’s Department of Health, Culture, and Sports to promote healthy eating habits and increase physical activity within the campus environment.

The certificate was presented to NEÜ Secretary General Dr. Rahim Çimen by Dr. Hasan Çiftci, Head of Public Health Services at the Konya Provincial Health Directorate. The award formalizes the university’s institutional commitment to fostering a healthy lifestyle culture for both staff and students.

Following the presentation, officials from the university and the Provincial Health Directorate discussed strengthening their cooperation. Future plans include joint projects focused on health literacy, preventive health services, and organized seminars and physical activity events for the university community.
