Necochea electronics store robbery with hammers

Two men on a motorcycle entered the On City appliance store in downtown Necochea after 7 p.m. on 4 August. Using hammers, they shattered a display case and stole the cell phones on exhibit. The thieves fled on the motorcycle, riding against traffic on nearby streets. Police responded to a 911 call, began a robbery investigation, and are reviewing municipal surveillance footage to identify the perpetrators. The local prosecutor’s office and the First Police Section’s technical team are involved in the case.

The incident highlights concerns about opportunistic thefts in the city, with witnesses noting suspicious individuals roaming the area in the days before the robbery.
