Necochea hosts 35th Ñandú Mathematics Olympiad
Necochea is hosting the 35th edition of the Ñandú Mathematics Olympiad at the Edgardo Hugo Yelpo Municipal Sports Center. The regional Bonaerense stage of the competition brings together more than 300 students, aged 10 to 12, from various parts of the province.
Selected by the Fundación Olimpiadas Matemáticas Argentina (FOMA), the event is supported by the local municipality. Matías Sierra, Secretary of Tourism and Productive Development, noted that the arrival of nearly 400 students provides a boost to local hospitality, gastronomy, and commerce despite the current economic climate.
Following accreditation on Wednesday and examinations on Thursday, an awards ceremony will be held this Friday at the Cine Teatro París to recognize the participating students.
