Necochea producers protest rural road conditions amid flood emergency
Agricultural producers in Necochea are raising serious concerns regarding the deteriorating state of rural roads. In a formal statement, producers accused the local government of mismanagement, citing obsolete machinery, destroyed paths, and a lack of clear planning. They noted that despite paying the highest regional rates per hectare, the budget for road repairs remains insufficient, hindering access to health, education, and the transport of goods.
Simultaneously, the Municipality of Necochea is managing an agricultural emergency following recent flooding. The local government is working to process sworn statements from affected producers to facilitate access to provincial benefits. So far, approximately 30 producers have registered, with several applications already being processed or authorized for provincial evaluation through the Ministry of Agrarian Development.
