Neda prepares for the 36th edition of the Festa do Pan

The 36th edition of the Festa do Pan is set to take place in Neda, Galicia. Local bakeries, including La Gallega, Panificadora Germán, and Paca Castro, are preparing for the high demand expected during the event, which is officially recognized as being of tourist interest in Galicia.

The festival highlights Neda’s historical role as a cereal supply center for the military fleet during the 16th and 18th centuries. This tradition is being honored this year by selecting Eduardo Dobarro, director of the Navantia shipyard in Ferrol, as the event's herald, symbolizing the historical link between naval construction and bread production.
