Nedo Barzanti commemorated 20 years after death

The provincial federation of the Italian Communist Party (PCI) in Grosseto has issued a statement commemorating the 20th anniversary of the death of Nedo Barzanti, who passed away on October 10, 2006.

Barzanti held various political roles, including serving as a municipal councilor in Massa Marittima and as the head of the council group in Grosseto. He served as a deputy of the Italian Republic from 1983 to 1991 for the PCI, and subsequently from 1993 to 1998 for the Communist Refoundation Party. In 1998, he was among the promoters and founders of the Democratic Party of Italian Socialism (PdCI), serving as its provincial secretary.

The PCI federation honored his dedication to community service and his commitment to political ideals, noting that his career spanned significant shifts in the Italian political landscape, including the Bolognina turning point.
