Neeraj Chopra and Indian Olympic Association launch Clean Sport anti‑doping drive
The Indian Olympic Association hosted its second Athletes' Forum at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi, bringing together more than 75 current and former athletes from over 30 national federations. The event marked the launch of the Clean Sport Campaign, a nationwide anti‑doping awareness initiative jointly run by the IOA and the Neeraj Chopra Foundation.
Olympic javelin champion Neeraj Chopra emphasised the need for patience and long‑term dedication, warning young athletes about the risks of contaminated supplements and the consequences of doping bans. The campaign aims to educate athletes through digital resources, workshops and outreach at key sporting centres, as India has topped the World Anti‑Doping Agency’s list of highest dope offenders for three consecutive years.
