Neeraj Chopra to compete in Lausanne Diamond League
Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra is set to compete in the Lausanne Diamond League at the Stade Olympique de la Pontaise in Switzerland. This marks Chopra’s fourth appearance in Lausanne and his third competitive event of the 2026 athletics season.
In the men’s javelin competition, Chopra will face a strong field, including South Asian rival Rumesh Tharangga Pathirage of Sri Lanka. Pathirage has already secured a spot in the Brussels final following a 92.62-meter throw in Rome. Other competitors include Walcott from Trinidad and Tobago and Peters from Grenada, though Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan has withdrawn from the event.
Chopra, a former Diamond League champion, currently trails in the standings and will look to deliver a high-performance throw to climb the rankings.
