Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council Sworn In, New Members Appointed
On 7 August, the newly elected Executive Council (Exco) of Negeri Sembilan was sworn in at Istana Besar Seri Menanti in Kuala Pilah. The ceremony was presided over by Yang di‑Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir and attended by senior royal figures, including Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani and Tunku Besar Seri Menanti. Two incumbent assembly members, Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli (Linggi) and Datuk Mustapha Nagoor (Palong), retained their Exco posts, while eight newcomers—Datuk Zaifulbahri Idris (Chembong), Siow Kong Choon (Chennah), Siti Nur Umaira Hasim (Labu), Datuk Mohd Asna Amin (Lenggeng), Datuk Mohd Razi Mohd Ali (Sungai Lui), Suhaimizan Bizar (Gemencheh), Mohd Fairuz Mohd Isa (Serting) and Datuk Razali Abu Samah (Sikamat)—joined the council. Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim also took part.
During the same ceremony, Tuanku Muhriz warned the new Exco members to avoid any misuse of authority, especially in awarding government tenders and projects, urging them to act with honesty, fairness and professionalism for the benefit of the people of Negeri Sembilan.
