Brazilian celebrities Nego Jader and Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega face health tragedies
Security professional Jader da Silva, known as Nego Jader, has died at age 40 following a six-day hospitalization. He had been treated in intensive care after suffering a seizure, which led to complications including renal impairment and fluid in the lungs. Jader was a close friend and security guard for digital influencer Deolane Bezerra and had previously worked with the late singer MC Kevin.
Deolane Bezerra, who is currently in preventive detention, was informed of the death by her sisters. Family members reported that she was in a state of shock, expressing distress over being unable to say goodbye to her friend due to her incarceration.
Separately, 90-year-old comedian and presenter Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega has been hospitalized at Hospital Sírio-Libanês in São Paulo. He is undergoing tests to investigate a possible Coxsackie virus infection after experiencing months of fatigue and malaise. His wife, Dr. Renata de Nóbrega, noted that while the symptoms were initially attributed to aging, laboratory results suggested the viral infection, which also affects her.
