Negocios del Café proposes debt restructuring plan

Negocios del Café, the largest Burger King franchisee in Andalusia, has submitted a debt restructuring plan to the Commercial Court of Malaga for judicial approval. The company clarified that the plan is intended to reschedule the financial debt of the holding company to better align maturities with projected cash flow.

The group operates 62 Burger King restaurants in Andalusia and 28 Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) locations across Andalusia and Valencia. Corporate CFO Paloma Artigas stated that the company is not facing current or imminent insolvency and emphasized that the restructuring does not involve debt write-offs (quitas). Instead, the plan aims to pay 100% of the debt over an extended period at market interest rates.

The restructuring specifically affects the holding company owned by the partners and does not impact the operational companies, employees, suppliers, or franchisors. The company maintains that restaurant operations will continue as normal.
