Neil El Aynaoui aims for Champions League as Roma midfielder returns

Midfielder Neil El Aynaoui, who impressed with the Morocco national team at the World Cup, is back at AS Roma for a training camp in Wales. He said the experience with his country gave him extra energy and that playing for Morocco "you almost don't feel the fatigue."

El Aynaoui hopes to convince Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini to give him a regular role as the club targets a place in the Champions League. He described Gasperini as a demanding coach who knows exactly what he wants, adding that the hard work under him is helping the team make progress. The 2001‑born midfielder also spoke about regaining rhythm after the international tournament and his ambition to help Roma succeed in the upcoming season.
