Neil Perry details departure from The Band Perry

Neil Perry, a member of the country music group The Band Perry, has publicly addressed his departure from the band and the internal conflicts that led to its current lineup. In a series of Instagram posts, Neil revealed he was terminated in 2024 following disagreements regarding the group's future.

According to Neil, the friction arose when his sister, Kimberly Perry, proposed that her husband, Johnny, join the band as a member to replace his brother, Reid Perry. Neil stated he was opposed to this arrangement. He noted that by May 2024, the siblings were not on speaking terms and Reid had ceased involvement in both personal and business matters.

While Kimberly Perry suggested in a podcast that there was interest in reuniting the original group, Neil explicitly asked his sister not to represent his support for the current version of the band. Neil explained that he realized continuing to tour was no longer a realistic option for him due to a 2/3 partnership agreement that would have eventually forced him out.
