Neiva expands public lighting to boost night‑time sports participation

The municipal lighting program in Neiva, Colombia, has illuminated more than 70 recreational venues, allowing children, seniors and local sports clubs to train after dark. Residents report improved safety, reduced risk of crime and greater ability to hold basketball, football and cardio sessions late into the evening.

The enhanced lighting also supports amateur volleyball in the city.
