Neiva: Woman killed in suspected gang dispute
Lina María Canacue Castañeda, 47, was fatally shot by two individuals on a motorcycle in the Limonar neighborhood of southern Neiva, Colombia. The attack occurred on Thursday night near the El Limonar educational institution.
According to reports, the assailants intercepted the victim and fired multiple times, striking her in the head. Although bystanders attempted to assist her by transporting her via taxi to the ESE Carmen Emilia Ospina medical center, she arrived without vital signs.
Authorities, including Lieutenant Colonel Diego Hernán Sepúlveda Otero of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators. Preliminary hypotheses suggest the killing may be linked to a dispute between criminal groups over the sale of narcotics, specifically the substance known as tusi.
