Neja Filipič qualifies for triple jump final at European Championships

Slovenian athlete Neja Filipič has qualified for the triple jump final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. After an initial jump of 13.84 meters placed her 12th, she improved to 14.05 meters on her second attempt, securing 11th place and a spot in the final scheduled for Thursday.

Other Slovenian performances included Lovro Mesec Košir, who recorded a 46.66-second time in the first round of the 400m, and Jan Vukovič, who finished 25th in the 800m with a time of 1:47.80. Zala Istenič was disqualified from the 100m sprint after receiving a red card for a false start, which occurred following muscle pain experienced during warm-ups. Despite the disqualification, she remains eligible for the 200m event later in the week.
