Neko Health expands AI body-scanning services to New York
Neko Health, a Swedish startup co-founded by Spotify’s David Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, has launched its AI-powered body-scanning services in New York. The company, which has raised nearly $1 billion, utilizes advanced sensor technology and computer vision to screen for potential issues in blood, skin, and metabolism.
The one-hour scan costs $500 and is not covered by insurance, though it is intended to be an eligible expense for individuals using Health Savings Accounts. The company reports a global waitlist exceeding 300,000 people. Neko Health aims to address barriers to preventative care in the United States, such as cost and accessibility, by providing actionable medical insights rather than simple wellness monitoring.
