Neko Health raises $700 million for preventive medicine expansion

Neko Health, a health technology startup co-founded by Spotify founder Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, has secured $700 million (approximately €600 million) in a Series C funding round. This capital is intended to drive the company's expansion and support its focus on preventive medicine.

The company plans to use the funds to open its first clinics in the United States, starting with New York. This follows a $260 million Series B round completed in January 2025. Neko Health has already established a presence in Sweden and the United Kingdom, where over 100,000 people have undergone its scanning process and 350,000 are on waiting lists.

The core offering is the Neko Health Scan, a non-invasive, radiation-free 60-minute assessment. Using proprietary hardware and software, the scan collects millions of data points to evaluate skin health, biomarkers for prediabetes, blood anomalies, and risks related to metabolic syndrome, stroke, and heart attack. Results are provided within minutes and reviewed during in-person consultations with medical professionals.
