Neko Health to open first US location in New York

Neko Health, a health-scanning startup co-founded by Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek, is expanding into the United States. The company will open its first American location in SoHo, Manhattan, on September 24 at 300 Lafayette Street.

Neko Health utilizes proprietary body-scanning technology combined with bloodwork and data from wearable fitness devices to assess individual health. The company currently operates in Sweden and the United Kingdom. Following a $700 million Series C funding round, the startup reported that 100,000 people have already undergone scans.

Demand in the new market appears high, with over 25,000 New Yorkers already signed up on the company’s waitlist. Neko Health enters a growing sector of preventative health technology that includes competitors such as Midjourney, which is developing a scanner for a planned 2027 San Francisco launch, and longevity-focused companies like Fountain Life.
