Nel ASA launches new alkaline electrolyzer platform

Norwegian hydrogen specialist Nel ASA announced the commercial launch of its next‑generation pressure‑based alkaline electrolyzer platform on 6 May. After more than eight years of development and prototyping, the system entered the market to simplify hydrogen‑production projects.

The new platform is designed to improve cost structure, efficiency and scalability of electrolyzers, aiming to make large‑scale hydrogen projects more viable and reduce overall production costs.
