In an interview with the Bild newspaper, Nele noted that because the two maintain a very close relationship with no secrets, she often finds herself discussing her romantic life with her mother.

Nele stated that her mother's suggestions, such as simply calling a man to resolve issues, do not align with modern social norms and dating habits. She suggested that societal dating customs have changed significantly since Frauke Ludowig was last active in the dating scene, noting that her mother has been married to her partner, Kai Röffen, for over two decades.
