Nelly reveals Taylor Swift paid $50,000 for three-minute appearance

Rapper Nelly has shared details regarding a surprise appearance during Taylor Swift’s Speak Now tour in 2011. During an interview on The Breakfast Club, Nelly recounted how Swift invited him to perform in Houston after she and her friends choreographed a routine to one of his hits.

To facilitate the appearance, Swift provided a private jet for Nelly and his family, along with accommodations in a presidential suite. Nelly noted that while he would have performed for free due to their connection, Swift insisted on a $50,000 payment.

In a humorous turn, Nelly requested that the cash be delivered in a McDonald’s bag. He recalled that Swift’s manager (identified in some reports as her father, Scott Swift) fulfilled the request, handing him the bag containing the cash following the brief three-minute performance.
