Nelson Castro conducts concert in Canning to fund ARSIS orchestra's Paris trip

Journalist and orchestra director Nelson Castro led a free charity concert at the San Agustín Church in Canning, Buenos Aires Province. The event, attended by dozens of local residents, featured the Montaña Student Orchestra and the Southern Choir Ensemble and aimed to raise funds for the ARSIS Chamber Orchestra’s travel to Paris.

The ARSIS ensemble, comprising 35 young musicians selected for an international youth academy in August, will represent Argentina for the first time. Castro praised the participants’ talent, saying they “build a future full of opportunities.” Gustavo Moreno, director of the orchestra and vice‑president of the W.O.F. Artistic Committee, highlighted the pride of sending the youth to Europe.

The concert is one of the final fundraising activities before the delegation departs for France.
