Nelson Chamisa Denies Bribery Claims, Draws Thousands in UK Diaspora Tour

Former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Nelson Chamisa told a UK audience that he has never taken money from Zimbabwe’s ruling ZANU PF party, calling recent bribery allegations a propaganda campaign by his detractors. He challenged critics to name anyone who has opposed President Emmerson Mnangagwa more effectively than he has.

Chamisa’s visit to the United Kingdom included a series of diaspora‑focused meetings in London, Manchester and Corby that attracted thousands of Zimbabweans. Under the theme “Beyond the Crisis: A New Hope for Zimbabwe,” he unveiled a newly launched political movement called “THE NEW,” describing it as a citizen‑centric, “citizenocratic” approach to governance aimed at constitutional democracy, rapid economic transformation and social justice.
