On September 18, the Leafs secured a 4-3 overtime victory against the Kimberley Dynamiters, with Jackson Gair scoring the winning goal shortly after the overtime period began.

On September 20, the Leafs faced the Fernie Ghostriders, resulting in a 3-2 shootout loss. Despite the loss, the game was characterized by strong goaltending, with netminders making a combined 62 saves. Nolan Murphy and Larson Proctor scored for Nelson during regulation, but the Ghostriders managed to force a shootout after Sawyer Samycia scored with two seconds remaining in the third period.
