Nelson Monte joins Córdoba CF on loan from Almería

Córdoba CF has officially presented Portuguese central defender Nelson Monte following a last-minute transfer. The 31-year-old joins the club on a season-long loan from Almería with no option to purchase.

Monte brings significant experience from Spanish clubs such as Málaga and Almería, as well as time playing in Ukraine with Dnipro. During his presentation, Monte expressed his readiness to provide veteran leadership to a young squad, stating he aims to act as an “older brother” to his teammates and help maintain calm during difficult periods.

Club sporting director Juanito welcomed the defender, noting that his experience is expected to help the team improve its start to the season. The signing was finalized during a hectic closing period for the club's roster.
