Nemanja Gudelj signs with Udinese ahead of Serie A debut

Former Sevilla captain Nemanja Gudelj, 34, has completed a move to Italian Serie A side Udinese. The defender agreed to a two‑year contract running until 30 June 2028, with an optional extension to 2029 based on performance targets. Udinese coach Kosta Runjaic personally requested Gudelj to strengthen the team's defensive line. Earlier in the transfer window, Bologna showed interest, but Udinese secured the deal.

Gudelj spent six seasons at Sevilla, winning the UEFA Europa League in 2020 and 2023 before his contract expired on 30 June. The Serbian‑born player now looks to bring his experience to the Italian league.
