NEMO introduces FTTR technology in Legnano residential complex
In the new SQUARE residential complex in Legnano, developed by EDIL SAE, the technology company NEMO is implementing Fibre-To-The-Room (FTTR) technology. This solution extends fiber optic connectivity directly into individual rooms rather than relying solely on a central router and Wi-Fi signal.
Unlike traditional installations where Wi-Fi performance can be hindered by distance, walls, or interference, FTTR uses an internal network of optical connections to provide uniform coverage and greater stability. The infrastructure is designed to support connection speeds of up to 10 Gigabits per second, catering to the high demands of modern smart homes, including connected appliances, computers, and home automation systems.
Additionally, the technology offers security features through Home Guard, which can detect movement and presence within the home without the use of cameras.
