Nemo Rangers win Cork senior football championship

Nemo Rangers have secured their 24th Cork senior football title after defeating St Finbarr’s with a final score of 1-19 to 2-12. The victory ends a streak of three consecutive final losses for the club and avenges their defeat to St Finbarr’s in last year’s final.

Captain Stephen Cronin led the team, scoring 0-8, while Mark Cronin contributed with two frees. A first-half goal from Luke Horgan helped Nemo Rangers establish an early lead. Although St Finbarr’s mounted a comeback through goals from Brian Hayes and John Wigginton-Barrett, Nemo Rangers maintained control to win by four points.

Following this success, Nemo Rangers are set to progress to the Munster Championship, where they are scheduled to face Tipperary’s Loughmore-Castleiney in the quarter-final on 8 November.
