Nenad Borovčanin credits Vučić and Putin for Serbian boxing growth

Nenad Borovčanin, President of the Boxing Association of Serbia, has highlighted the importance of institutional support from Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Russian President Vladimir Putin for the development of boxing in Serbia. During an appearance on the Russian television channel TNT, Borovčanin emphasized that this cooperation has been crucial for achieving international sporting results.

Borovčanin noted that working with Russian trainers has provided new training methods, financial stability, and motivation for domestic athletes. A primary goal for the association is to secure an Olympic medal at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. He also stressed the importance of building a system that focuses on character, discipline, and motor skills development for young athletes before moving into competitive processes.
