Nenad Stevandic discusses OHR mandate and Serbia relations

Nenad Stevandic, President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, stated that the United States, Russia, and China have indicated at the UN Security Council that the Office of the High Representative (OHR) has run its course and should be closed.

Stevandic criticized the OHR, claiming it serves as an obstacle to cooperation rather than a protector of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He noted that Russian Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya has publicly criticized the OHR as an instrument for interfering in the sovereign affairs of the country.

Regarding regional relations, Stevandic emphasized that cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska must not be undermined by political transitions following parliamentary elections in Serbia. He warned against attempts to sever political and economic ties during the period of institutional formation in Serbia.
