Nenad Stevanic Condoles Families of Bosnian Hikers Killed on Russia’s Elbrus
Nenad Stevanic, President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, expressed condolences to the families and friends of five hikers from Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, who died while climbing Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe, in the Russian Federation. He said, "Duboko me potresla vest o tragičnoj nesreći na planini Elbrus u kojoj je živote izgubilo pet planinara iz BiH," and wished a swift recovery for the two members of the expedition who survived with injuries. The accident occurred during an ascent of Elbrus, and the surviving climbers were reported to be receiving medical care.
Stevanic’s statement, issued from the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, underscored the shared grief across the region and called for support to the injured and the bereaved families.
