Nencho Balabanov has left the popular television show ‘Sdelka ili ne’ (Deal or No Deal) on Nova TV after three years as host. While Balabanov announced on social media that he decided to ‘take a new direction’ and expressed gratitude to the team and viewers, reports indicate the departure was driven by a financial dispute.

Sources suggest Balabanov requested a significant increase in his fees for the upcoming season, citing inflation following the introduction of the euro. The request was reportedly denied by media executives. The actor is said to face personal financial pressures, including mortgage obligations and the desire to maintain a household income comparable to his wife, Katrin Ruseva, who works in real estate and automotive trading.

Following the refusal to meet his salary demands, Balabanov declined to sign a new contract. He is currently without new television or series engagements. Fans of the show have begun speculating on his successor, with some calling for the return of the show's original host, Rumen Lukanov.
