NENNA. AI wins data protection award and joins German delegation in Montreal
Berlin-based deep-tech startup NENNA. AI has received the DUP Editorial Award in the category of data protection innovation. The award was presented on September 16, 2026, during the Big Bang KI Festival in Berlin.
The company’s platform utilizes masking logic to ensure that confidential and secret information is not transmitted to AI providers, providing a layer of security that goes beyond mere legal compliance. Kassandra Büttner, Vice President of Growth & Marketing, accepted the award on behalf of the team.
Additionally, NENNA. AI participated in the ALL IN conference in Montreal, Canada, as part of a German delegation led by Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and State Modernization, Karsten Wildberger. The startup was one of six German AI providers selected for the ‘AI for Real Impact’ challenge. During the event, discussions focused on data sovereignty, global AI regulation, and potential collaborations between German and Canadian companies to scale AI innovation while protecting intellectual property and government secrets.
