Nens del Vendrell celebrates centenary of first human tower performance

The Nens del Vendrell human tower group (colla castellera) celebrated the centenary of their first official performance. To mark the occasion, the group held events in Vendrell, including a commemorative plaque inauguration and a special performance at Plaça Vella, the same location where they first performed on October 15, 1926.

During the celebrations, the group achieved significant technical milestones, successfully completing a ‘5 de 8’ tower at Plaça Vella, a feat they had not accomplished at that specific location in nine years. Group leader Pere Rovira expressed satisfaction with the performance, noting that the successful execution of the towers helped consolidate the group's recent progress and boosted morale.
