Neodent invests R$ 2 billion in new Curitiba factory
Neodent, a dental implant manufacturer and member of the Swiss Straumann Group, has inaugurated its third factory in Curitiba, Brazil. This expansion represents the largest investment in the company's history, with a planned total of up to R$ 2 billion through 2031.
The new 42,000-square-meter facility is part of a strategy to transform Curitiba into a global dental production hub. The expansion is expected to increase the company's annual production capacity from 7 million to 15 million implants. Additionally, the project has the potential to create up to 2,000 direct jobs by 2031, representing an increase of more than 50% in the current workforce.
Neodent currently exports half of its production to more than 100 countries. Alexei Troyano Costa, president of Neodent and executive vice-president of the Straumann Group for Latin America, stated that the company aims to build the world's largest dental ecosystem in Curitiba.
